MUMBAI: The Maharashtra government faced embarrassment on Wednesday with the central administrative tribunal (CAT) quashing its appointment of A N Roy as the state’s director general of police.
It has directed the government to appoint another DGP within four weeks from among the three seniormost IPS officers in the state (who are all in the rank of DG)—S S Virk, Suprakash Chakravarty and J D Vir
