Outgoing World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz has said he ''acted in good faith and ethically to resolve what was a difficult situation for the Bank''.In the end, he said, the situation had ''gotten to the point where it was not possible to be effective,'' and it was in the best interest of the Bank that he resign.
