Andhra Pradesh fire stations go private

Faced with a severe lack of fire-fighting facilities, Andhra Pradesh has decided to go for private fire-stations across the state. The government plans for 23 more stations in the next two years. These fire-stations will be run by contractors who will be chosen through tenders.
