On the morning of July 21, 2007, a day after her daughter, Snehal Gavare (21) went missing, her mother Kalpana was tidying the house, when she noticed a piece of clothing caught in the storage drawer built into a bed. She opened it to set it right and inside, was her daughter’s body, trussed up and gagged.
