The political fallout of the fuel price hike began on Thursday, as the ruling Left Front and opposition Trinamool Congress in West Bengal called for a 12-hour 'Bangla Bandh'. The bandh severely affected flight schedules to and fro Kolkata, with carriers being forced to cancel or re-schedule their flights.
