World TB Day: 'Women, children worst hit'

Tuberculosis has become one of India's worst enemies. Studies conducted on the socio-economic impact of TB have projected that over three lakh children are orphaned by the disease every year while over a lakh women are rejected by their families, once they contract this disease.
