Sania Mirza and her Swiss partner Patty Schnyder were beaten 3-6, 7-5, 7-10 by Cara Black of Zimbabwe and Liezel Huber of the United States in the quarter-finals, thus ending her challenge in the Kremlin Cup. Mirza had previously lost 3-6, 4-6 to Argentina's Gisela Dulko in the singles first round match of the tournament.
