Back in the nineties, Microsoft was a company which could do no wrong, however things changed towards the end of that golden era. In August 1999, Microsoft purchased $150 million worth of Apple stock at a price of $5.43 a share. And later sold the stock in 2001 at a marginal gain of 7% or $10 million.
