Bulls make way for the bears

The stock markets ended its winning streak after closing in the red on Thursday for the first time in 12 trading sessions. While the BSE's benchmark Sensex closed at 17,777.14, down 69.90 points, after hitting an intra-day low of 17,494.70, the Nifty lost 66 points, or nearly 1%, to close at 5,166.80.
