Prosecutors charged Britney with misdemeanor counts of hit and run and driving. She did not have a valid license after she smashed her car into another one in a parking lot in August.
The singer is liable to face up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine for each count, said Nick Velasquez, spokesperson for the city attorney's office
