The state governments are tripping over each other to reward their players who were part of the victorious World Cup squad. The Maharashtra CM Vilasrao Deshmukh announced Rs 10 lakh each to Mumbai boys Rohit Sharma and Ajit Agarkar. While the Karnataka CM announced Rs 5 lakh to Robin Uthappa, the Kerala government announced a cash award of Rs 5 lakh for local boy Shantakumaran Sreesanth.
