While the whole nation seems to be going gaga over the exploits of the Indian team during the Twenty20 tournament, it may be recalled that the BCCI were against the shorter version of the game and felt it could have an adverse effect on the 50-over game. While the cricket boards of different countries were mulling over the Twenty20 version, the BCCI felt that India was not ready for the new format
