The Indian challenge in the singles event of the WTA Sunfeast Open came to an end with Sunitha Rao being ousted in the second round of the tournament. Meanwhile, second seed Slovak Daniela Hantuchova made it to the quarter-final after outclassing Russian Anastasia Rodionova 6-2 6-1 in less than an hour.
