The External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee said that it was his job to save the government and he gave an assurance that the government will last its full term. Mukherjee also said that the Bhartiya Janata Party's demand for a Joint Parliamentary Committee to discuss the nuclear deal was not possible.
