If the Pakistani intelligence agencies are to believed, the former Premier Nawaz Sharif has become the most popular leader in Pakistan in the light of the Bhutto-Musharraf negotiations which are underway in Pakistan. Sharif's recent victory over the government in the Supreme Court has also contributed to increasing his popularity in Pakistan.
