NSE, BSE outperform bourses in developed mkts

Although the Indian bourses have managed to outpace the bourses in the developed countries in terms of growth in market value in the year ended July 2007, it still continues to lag behind China. The reason for the growth in market value is the sharp rise in the share prices and market capitalisation of companies listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
