The Sri Puram Golden Temple - which is one of the biggest Hindu shrines in southern India - was consecrated on Friday in the presence of over 30,000 devotees. Dubbed the 'golden temple', the Sri Puram is located in the backdrop of a small range of hillocks, about 180 km from Chennai. It has been built at the cost of Rs.3 million by a spiritual leader who calls himself Narayani Amma.
