Congress offers olive branch to Left parties

The Congress extended an olive branch to the Left parties by offering to set up an expert group to examine all aspects of the Indo-US Civilian Deal. The Congress's move was in response to a demand from Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM) polit buro member Sitaram Yechury for a mechanism to thoroughly examine the Hyde Act.
