Sena chief fined by Mumbai court

Shiv Sena leader Bal Thackeray was fined Rs 500 by a Mumbai sessions court for failing to be present at a hearing. An ultimatum was issued to Thackeray to be present before the court on August 21, failing which it would pass an ex-parte order in the case. A case had been filed against Thackeray last year for provocative articles in his mouthpiece Saamna.
