Man of Iranian origin fights deportation

A person of Iranian origin, who was born and has been living in India, has been denied an Indian passport and ordered to be deported to Iran. Hassan Ali Raihani applied for Indian citizenship in 2003 following the death of his father.Raihani converted to Hinduism, for which he could be punished by death if he were to return to Iran.
