WHO issues dengue alert for South-East Asia

The South-East Asia Regional Office (SEARO) of the World Health Organisation (WHO) has urged the South East Asian countries to take preventive action to contain the outbreak of epidemics such as dengue, a mosquito-borne viral illness. The number of cases of dengue has been on the rise in Indonesia, Myanmar and Thailand.
