President condoles loss of lives: Floods

The President Pratibha Patil has expressed her grief at the loss of lives and the damage to property due to floods in the states of Assam, Meghalaya and Bihar. Patil has addressed letters to the chief ministers of the three states asking them to take the necessary steps to provide relief to the affected people.
