Russian quake triggers tsunami in Japan

A strong earthquake took place near Sakhalin island in Russia's Far East, which resulted in killing one person and sending small tsunami waves to northern Japan. The tremblor which had a magnitude of 6.4 on the Richter scale, was responsible for tsunami waves of about 1 foot which hit the coastal city of Wakkanai in Japan northernmost island of Hokkaido.
