The Australian government maintains that Haneef Mohammed was aware of the failed UK terror plot. The Australian Immigration Minister, released some evidence in the form of an Internet chat between Haneef and his brother Shoaib on the day he tried to leave Brisbane,on which he had based his decision to cancel Haneef's work visa.
