Polish bus driver fired for 38,000 text messages

Leszek Wojcik, a bus driver in the northwestern Polish city of Slupsk, has been fired for sending 38000 text messages on his company cellphone in a bid to win a contest jackpot. Wojcik, ran up a tab of some 94,000 zlotys ($34,000) with his text messages while trying to win a 100,000-zloty ($36,000) SMS contest that ended on June 30.
