Patil to be sworn in as President on Wednesday

The UPA-Left Candidate, Pratibha Patil will be sworn in as India's first woman President on Wednesday in the Central Hall of Parliament House. Patil, who won one of the most fiercely contested presidential polls, will be will be administered the oath of office in the presence of Supreme Court Chief Justice G Balakrishnan at 2.30 pm, followed by a 21-gun salute.
