Loud blasts heard around Lal Masjid

Loud blasts and explosions were heard in the vicinity of the Lal Masjid in Pakistan, triggering speculation that Pakistani security forces were trying to storm the mosque. There were around 15 explosions which were claimed to be mortar shells which were followed by announcements stating "We have surrounded you. Surrender".
