Gordon Brown, the new UK Premier, has come a long way from starting out as an academic to becoming the Prime Minister. Brown, who was a lecturer on politics for four years after graduation and a TV commentator before jumping into public life, is a respected politician who seeks to strengthen and deepen relations with a "pulsating, dynamic India."
