CHENNAI: Police on Thursday arrested seven persons in connection with the group clash in which three students were seriously injured.
The incident occurred at Dr Ambedkar Law College on Wednesday.
"ACP Narayanamurthy and inspector Sekar Babu have been suspended while four sub-inspectors have been transferred out of Chennai," Chennai police commissioner R Sekhar said.
