Mahela Jayawardene and Mohammad Yousuf scored half centuries as Asia XI posted a commanding 317 for nine against Africa XI. The Africans fought brilliantly through South Africa's Shaun Pollock but fell short by 34 runs. Jayawardene, struck seven fours and a huge straight six off debutant Morne Morkel in his 62-ball 65.
