Foeticide ruled out in Bangalore dumped foetus case : Police

The forensic examination of the foetuses found dumped in three bags in the heart of the city of Bangalore have revealed that all of them suffered from congenital abnormalities. The police said that the number of foetuses was seven and not 20 as per earlier reports. Out of the seven foetuses five were male and two were female, thus ruling out the possibility of female foeticide.

Convict absconds, sentencing deferred to July 7: Bhagalpur Riot Case

The sentencing of the 14 convicts, in the Bhagalpur riot case, in which 116 people were massacred, has been deferred until the 7th of July. The reason for defering the case was because one of the convicts is absconding.

HDIL to tap primary market

Housing Development and Infrastructure Ltd. (HDIL), a real estate company is tapping the capital market with an initial public offering of 2.97 crore equity shares. The issue will open on June 28 and close on July 3 and will comprise 2.97 crore equity shares of Rs. 10 each through a 100 per cent book building process. The price band has been fixed at Rs. 430 to Rs. 500 per equity share.

Toonz to bring Mr. Bean to South Asia

Toonz Animation India has won the licence to market cartoon, television, DVD and film productions featuring Mr. Bean, a fictional character immortalised by British actor Rowan Atkinson, in South Asia. Toonz Licensing, merchandising wing of the multimedia entertainment company, has signed an agreement to this effect with Tiger Aspect Productions,according to a release by the company.
