'India, China should help bring peace in Myanmar'

Malaysia has said that India and China, which have close ties with Yangon, should play their roles in bringing peace and stability to Myanmar. The Malaysian Foreign Minister Syed Hamid Albar said that his country was against imposing additional economic sanctions on Myanmar as that would hit the people who were already suffering from deprivation.

Indians, Chinese support globalisation : Survey

The Pew Global Attitudes survey of more than 45,000 people in 47 countries has observed that while Indians and Chinese have embraced economic globalisation, the enthusiasm for free market economies and global commerce is on the decline in the West. 89 per cent of Indians and 91 per cent of Chinese support foreign trade, compared to just 59 percent of Americans.
