Archaeologists conducting excavations in northern Israel have discovered what they believe are the oldest intact beehives ever found. The archaeologists have discovered evidence of a 3,000-year-old beekeeping industry, including remnants of ancient honeycombs, beeswax and the intact beehives. Thus the new findings proves the claims of the Bible which refers to Israel as a "land of milk and honey".

The Puck fair was held in the town of Killorglin in southern Ireland. A white mountain goat, was crowned the king of Ireland in a traditional ceremony, that dates back many years. A six-metre high replica of the Taj Mahal will be launched on the river Thames in London by Indian cricket captain Rahul Dravid, popular actresses Shilpa Shetty and Joanna Lumley, and London mayor Ken Livingstone.
