The Gauhati High Court has issued a notice to the Meghalaya government asking what action has been taken against the security personnel involved in twin firing incidents at Tura and Williamnagar in Garo hills that killed nine persons in September, 2005.

Five suspects are being questioned by the police in connection with the alleged rape of a Finnish woman in the satellite city of Navi Mumbai, a top officer said on Thursday.
"We have picked up five on suspicion and interrogating them. A medical examination has been carried out on the victim and the report is expected on Thursday," Commissioner of Police, Navi Mumbai, Ramrao Wagh said
