The officials of the Crime Branch have informed that Iqbal Attarwala who has been extradited from Dubai, will help in investigating the underworld-Bollywood nexus. Attarwala, who is an alleged associate of fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, arrived in Mumbai on Thursday after being deported by authorities in Dubai.

The Centre has issued a final notification to realty firm Parsvnath Developers for its IT and ITeS special economic zone (SEZ) at Gurgaon in Haryana. The SEZ at Gurgaon which is spread over 105 acres, would have a developable area of around 10 million sq ft and is scheduled for completion within 36 months from the commencement of construction.

The Health officials in Mizoram are concerned that promiscuous sex among married people is one of the primary reasons for the spread of HIV/AIDS in the state. According to the NACO report, 1,006 people living with HIV in Mizoram contracted the virus through sexual contact, while 732 people were infected due to intravenous drug use.

In a bid to make its workforce more global, Infosys Technologies will dispatch its first group of UK graduate trainees to India for a six-month induction course. The 25 trainees who will be visiting India were issued a copy of the Lonely Planet guide to India to help them orientate themselves in their new home.
