The Pole, who won his maiden Formula One race in Canada in June, recorded a lap of 1min 25.087 seconds in the dying stages of the one-hour session, which started on a damp track after heavy rain earlier in the day.

Rome: India will host a Formula One race for the first time in 2011, the sport's commercial supremo Bernie Ecclestone said on Friday.
"We have India and here I can say that the Grand Prix will be inserted into the calendar in 2011," Ecclestone told Italy's Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper when asked about future destinations for the sport.
