The Indian skipper Rahul Dravid dropped a bombshell by announcing his resignation as the captain of the Indian cricket team. The 33-year old ended his two-year reign as the skipper in order to focus on his batting. The BCCI has not yet specified as to whether it had accepted his resignation or not, however Dravid's request would be considered and the selection committee will appoint a new captain

The former Indian captain and Chairman of the Indian Cricket League (ICL), Kapil Dev denied that the BCCI's recently launched Indian Premier League was a counter to the ICL. A Pakistan Army spokesman on Tuesday said that both the Rawalpindi bombings early in the morning were suicide attacks. The utility vehicle maker Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M)is currently in an advanced stage of negotiations with the Nissan Motor Company for forging a marketing tie-up to sell the latter's small cars.
