DLF to be added to benchmark, gains 0.5%

Following the news that the country's largest developer would be added to the benchmark, the share price of DLF has risen by 0.5% to Rs852. DLF will replace Dr. Reddy's Laboratories -India's largest drugmaker, in the index. The changes will take effect November 19. The DLF scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs875 and a low of Rs847 and has recorded volumes of over 7,00,000 shares on NSE.

The Bank of India chairman, T.S. Narayanasami said that the state-run bank was likely to tap the capital market to raise fresh equity and dilute 5 percent of the government's stake in the bank.
