The Pakistan government has denied any role in the terror attacks in Hyderabad and has warned India against finger-pointing without investigating the terror attacks. "These are terrorist attacks and we condemn them. We are ourselves victim of terrorism and remain committed to fight terrorism. UP has highest number of educated convicts :Report

As per a report prepared by the National Crime Records Bureau, the state of Uttar Pradesh (UP) accounts for the highest number of graduate and post graduate convicts and undertrials. UP with 1,048 'graduate' convicts, is followed by Punjab and Madhya Pradesh which has 651 and 559 convicts who are graduates respectively.

Wipro slips 1% to Rs459

Wipro, which is India's third-largest software services exporter, plans to open a software development center in Atlanta. In the third year of its operations, the facility is likely to employ more than 500 employees. The Wipro script has slipped by 1% to Rs459 after touching an intra-day high of Rs463 and a low of Rs458.

TCS down 0.2% to Rs1026

TCS made an announcement yesterday that they have signed a pact for IT, Infrastructure services. Following the announcement, the script edged lower by 0.2% to Rs1026. It touched an intra-day high of Rs1039 and a low of Rs1023 and while recording volumes of over 41,000 shares on NSE.

At 9:58am (IST), the BSE 30-share Sensex has slipped by 38 points 14775 and NSE Nifty has slipped by 15 points at 4288. UTV Global Broadcasting, a media company is currently discussing the sale of a stake in it's broadcasting unit with strategic investors for a cnsideration of Rs 600 crore. The managing director of UTV, Ronnie Screwvala said that the channel Bindass will launch by the end of the month. He said the broadcasting business will give UTV a lot of room to grow over the next 2-3 years.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI ) managed to strike gold on Monday, in a deal with the Singapore-based sports marketing firm World Sports Group (WSG). As per the deal, the BCCI will sell the ground sponsorship rights and title naming rights for a total of 55 matches to be played in India till March 2010 for Rs 173.2 crore to the WSG.
