After five girls from Manipur were rescued in Kuala Lumpur, India is now asking the Singapore government to take action against the maid placement agency that allegedly ran a human trafficking racket across many north-eastern states.
The maid placement agency Abel and Joe is registered with the Singapore government and has sent girls abroad from the north-east.

Flying from the city’s domestic airport just got even dangerous. The runway maintenance staff are yet to find the ball bearings present in the apparatus of the twin nosewheels that scattered, when one of the wheels of an aircraft fell off during take-off on Thursday. The Go Air flight later made an emergency landing in Delhi.

New Delhi: A Delhi Court on Friday extended by 14 days the judicial custody of Utsav Bhasin, a Haryana industrialist's teenaged son accused of killing a motorcyclist with his BMW car.
Metropolitan Magistrate Praveen Singh extended his custody till October 23 when Bhasin was produced before him on the expiry of his remand.
Earlier, the Court had dismissed the bail plea of Bhasin on October 6.
