Australia not only lost the third Test against India at Perth but were also fined for maintaining a slow over-rate in the match.
ICC Match Referee Mike Procter decided to impose the fine after ruling out that Ricky Ponting’s team was two overs short of its target even after taking into consideration the time allowances.

Although the Aussies are currently enjoying a 2-1 lead in the series, the skipper Ricky Ponting said that his side will not complacent in the fifth ODI match to be played at Vadodara. "Tomorrow is the biggest game of the series for us. We are taking it as a final, that's how we are building it up as. The series is at 2-1 and has come alive," Ponting said.

The aggression shown by the Indians in the previous two matches of the series has been the hallmark of the series so far. While the Australians are keen on continuing the verbal duel in the fourth match, the Indians are in no mood to relent. "We have been aggressive in this series against the Aussies. We will keep it that way. We will not be silent," attacking batsman Robin Uthappa said.

Following England's close victory in the fourth one-day match, the Indian skipper Rahul Dravid said his side fell short by 25 runs. Defending an inadequate total of 212, the Indian bowlers did an excelelnt job of reduce England to 114 for seven. However a record 99-run unbeaten stand for the eighth wicket, between Bopara and Broad helped England secure a 3-1 lead in the series.
