US rules out renegotiation of Nuclear Deal

United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Monday spoke to External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee over telephone about the bilateral nuclear deal. During the conversation, Rice conveyed to Mukherjee that the US was keen on moving ahead with the civilian nuclear deal, informed State Department spokesman Sean McCormack.

Benazir outlines a deal for power

The former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto provided details of a power-sharing deal which would would strengthen the fight against terrorism. The deal involved a plan plan to keep President Pervez Musharraf in office. Bhutto said, "What we are seeking is a compromise that could help bring about a stable, democratic, civilian order."
