'Sabeel appears in court' : UK terror plot

The 26-year-old Indian doctor, Sabeel Ahmed who is charged with last month's failed terror attacks in London and Glasgow, appeared in the London magistrates' court for pretrial hearing. Sabeel has been ordered to remain in custody until his next hearing on September 10.

UK terror plot: Kafeel Ahmed dead

The Indian born engineer, Kafeel Ahmed, who drove a burning jeep into the Glasgow Airport on June 30, is dead. Kafeel had been in the hospital for a month with critical burns from the alleged attack on the airport which followed the two failed car bombings in London. Kafeel had been admitted to the hospital with 90 percent burns and was in a coma throughout his stay in the hospital.

Haneef Mohammed's lawyer, Peter Russo, said that the information released by the Australian Immigration Minister, Kevin Andrews, suggesting that the Indian doctor may have had prior knowledge of the UK terror plot is "more smoke and mirrors" and not confidential evidence. Russo said that Haneef had been questioned by the police about the internet chatroom conversations.

Charges against fourth suspect : UK Terror Plot

A Jordanian doctor, Mohammed Asha, is the fourth person to be indicted in the failed UK bombing plot. Asha, who was arrested immediately following the failed car bombings, has been charged with conspiring to cause the explosions and will be produced before a Magistrates Court on Friday.

Sabeel was aware of the terror plot: Reports

As per the latest information, the Indian suspect in the UK terror plot, Sabeel Ahmed, was aware of his brother's involvement in the terror attack. Sabeel was sent a text message by his brother Kafeel after the car bombs were planted in London but before the attack on Glasgow Airport. He is now charged with not informing the police about the conspiracy.

Haneef Mohammad, the Indian doctor who was detained by the Australian forces since the past 13 days, has been charged with intentionally providing resources to a terrorist organisation. Haneef was arrested after his mobile phone's SIM card was found in the possession of one of the British suspects and has been charged with supplying a mobile phone sim card to a terrorist organisation.

The Australian Police were granted permission to detain Mohammed Haneef until Wednesday in connection with the UK terror attack. The authorities are yet unable to ascertain Haneef's links with those responsible for the terror attacks.
