On Diwali day, darkness and gloom descended on the Pravin Gala household in Thane. The businessman was allegedly killed by a burglar in the wee hours on Tuesday in his bungalow in Girija Enclave at Pachpakhadi.
His two sons overpowered the alleged killer and handed him over to the police.
Gala, 50, was a cloth merchant and had two showrooms in the city.
