SAN FRANCISCO/TOKYO (Reuters) - Sony Corp said five PC makers including Hewlett-Packard Co and Toshiba Corp will recall 100,000 computer battery packs made by the Japanese electronics maker due to a fire hazard.
Sony said the recall is expected to have limited impact on its earnings, and its shares outperformed a falling Tokyo stock market on Friday.

Los Angeles: An unemployed Californian shot and killed his wife, three children and mother-in-law before taking his own life over his family's financial difficulties, police said.
Los Angeles Police Department deputy chief Michael Moore said the gunman, 45, shot his wife, 39, her mother, 70, and three sons aged 19, 12 and seven at their home in an upmarket suburb of Los Angeles.
