The Gujjar community says it plans to go the Gandhian way and that there will be no agitations for the next three months. However, their demand for Scheduled Tribe status is still on the anvil and they have also called for Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's resignation.

Dr Kirori Lal Meena, food minister in the Vasundhara Raje government in Rajasthan, said that it was unfair for the Gujjars to start agitation for seeking Scheduled Tribe status when they were already reaping the benefits of the OBC quota.
