A suicide car bomber struck a US military convoy passing through a crowded market in eastern Afghanistan on Thursday, killing at least 20 civilians and a US soldier and wounding an additional 74 civilians, officials said.
Separately, an explosion in southern Afghanistan killed two NATO troops, the military alliance said in a statement. It did not disclose the troops' nationalities.

India has launched its biggest effort at military diplomacy and proposed something like an Asian NATO, which will a military grouping to ensure the security of the Indian Ocean Region.
On Thursday, India did a US when it proposed a new international military framework to secure the Indian Ocean from terror threats.
