The BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar scoffed at attempts made by a section of the ruling Congress led UPA alliance and certain social activists to draw parallels between the the 1992-93 communal riots and the TADA court verdicts in the 1993 serial bomb blasts. Javadekar clarified that the party was in favour of action being taken against all those accused in the riots.

'Implement Srikrishna Commission recommendations' : CPI(M)

The CPI (M) has suggested that the government must implement the recommendations of the Srikrishna Commission, to ensure that Muslims do not feel alienated. The Srikrishna Commission was set up to enquire into the bloody Mumbai riots of 1993, which followed the demolition of the Babri Masjid on December 6, 1992.
