Tarkundi (Poonch): Samim Bir lives barely 50 metres away from the border fence at the Line of Control (LoC).
His village, Tarkundi, has only two houses and six voters. Despite that, a polling station has been set up for the families at the LoC to allow them to exercise their right to vote.
"For six people we have a polling station. This is called democracy," says Tarkundi sarpanch Lal Hussain.

New Delhi: After a long delay, India and Pakistan on Monday finally agreed to initiate trade across the Line of Control (LoC).
The trade will begin from the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad and Poonch-Rawlakot checkpoints, and the lists of items to be traded on both sides have already been exchanged.
A formal announcement will be made when Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and President Zardari meet in the US.

The Security forces foiled the second infiltration bid in two days when they gunned down four intruders on Sunday night along the Line of Control in north Kashmir.
