The Australian Immigration Minister, Kevin Andrews maintains that he has no regrets about the way he handled the Haneef Mohammed case and insisted that the Indian doctor's behaviour throughout his nearly four-week detention over the failed UK terror plot had been "suspicious". The Australian Immigration minister, Kevin Andrews, refused to release "the information" on the basis of which he cancelled Haneef Mohammed's visa. Andrews, who is under pressure due to his decision to cancel the visa, said that the reason for doing so, may not be released after discussions with the Australian Federal Police Commissioner Mick Keelty.
